Inktober 2018

2018 is my third year of taking part in Inktober,
Having tried to think of a theme to link up all the prompts, I have decided to just draw something - anything - as long as it fits (and perhaps, even if it doesn't fit, the theme)
I'm using a soft cover moleskine, (facebook branded giveaway) donated to me by my husband

Day 1 - Poisonous

Poisonous plants in the UK (some of them)

Day 2 Tranquil

Sunset over Portwrinkle, Cornwall

Day 3 Roasted

Shakespeare style - Coriolanus

Day 4 - Spell

Circe put a spell on Odysseus and his men, turned them into swine

Day 5 - Chicken

My friends' chicken

Day 6 - Drool

The kid drroling on his desk in class - Ferris Bueller's Day off

Day 7 - Exhausted

This is me, yawning. Attractive?

Day 8 - Star

"Why did you wanna go and out starz in her eyes?"

Day 9 - Precious

Precious Mckenzie, champion weightlifter

Day 10 - Flowing

Angelina Jolie's flowing locks

Day 11 - Cruel

Any hunting for 'sport'

Day 12 - Whale

Also cruel - keeping such huge beautiful creatures in captivity for our 'entertainment'

Day 13 - Guarded

Still sticking with the cruel theme. Sudan the last male white rhino being guarded.
He's now died but his 'genetic material ' has apparently been saved.

Day 14 - Clock

Look carefully there is clock tower at the land end of the pier.
This is SO scrappy, and nearly didn't get posted, but I need to keep up - and I am really missing colour!

Day 15 Weak

Queen Elizabeth I

Day 16 - Angular

Styles seem to be quite rare nowadays, having been widely replaced by kissing gates. This one is on coastal path in Cornwall.

Day 17 - Swollen

The red chest of the frigate bird - I am really missing my watercolours!
Day 18 - Bottle
Daniel interpreting Nebuchadnezzar's dream
Day 19 - scorched

Day 20 - Breakable

Self confidence
Day 21 - Drain
'Cumil the watcher'
He's made of bronze, and we came across him on our European travels this summer in Bratislava
Day 22 - Expensive
We were watching 'Countryfile' on BBC. A prize pumpkin grower said that one of his seeds cost £2000 - and it didn't germinate. That seems like an expensive mistake to me.
Day 23: Muddy
Inspired by mud-larks at Port Eliot Fewstival
Day 24: Chop
Is there any other way to cut hair?
Day 25: Prickly
I remembered this as spikey - like aspects of this building
Day 26: Stretch
Three of my favourite yoga poses
Day 27: Thunder
Day 28: Gift
Gift, as in talent or ability.
I've never been able to swing on monkey bars, but these little guys and girls at Longleat were having a whale of a time: a natural gift! Sadly my sketch doesn't reflect the time that went into the drafts and planning. Sometimes it flows, and sometimes it doesn't and I have to get on with my day!
Day 29: Double
Mondsee Abbey, Austria
Day 30 - Jolt
Day 31 - Slice
... of Sachertorte, in Budapest
