Week 5: Peacock*

As often as I can, I will produce a book concept, in line with part of the illustration challenge this year.  I wanted to develop the idea of my little penguin, so I thought she could remain in her natural habitat and dress up as a peacock. It didn't take long for this to develop into an environmental theme. If I ever write it, it will also be a story about being happy in your own skin (or feathers)Book Concept -  title: Penguins Can't

Adelie dreams of being as beautiful as the peacocks she’s heard about from the migrating birds. Her mother told her she can’t go to the colourful, but dangerous, cove of plastic waste - however Amelie, who is a very adventurous adelie penguin, wants to make a costume, and ignores the warnings.
